ARTIST PROFILE

Jacqui Herrmann

Jacqui Herrmann is a distinguished Riverina artist who has long family and personal associations with Leeton, and is now located in Albury on the NSW/Victorian border.

Jacqui’s most favoured medium is acrylic on canvas, and her most favoured theme/s or style of artworks are landscapes and riverscapes, family pets and mistletoe flowers.

In the artist’s own words:
“Acrylic paints for me are vibrant, quick drying and great for layering strong colours. I love layering paint with my hands, and brushes, to get the right sky, texture or details. I was an art student in high school and loved lunchtime in the art room with my friends. I drew a lot and took photos during my 20’s, and recommenced painting while I was raising my kids on the farm. I now enjoy expanding my repertoire to cover landscapes, river and streetscapes, family pets and mistletoe flowers.”
